The Avengers Worst Fears

What is the one thing the avengers fear the most?

When re-watching Age of Ultron, I took extra attention into the scenes with Scarlet Witch (FYI that is not because I am crazy attracted to her) and when she shows some of the avengers their greatest fears, some weren't entirely explained. I thought I'd take this opportunity to list what these avengers actually felt, along with the other major heroes:

Tony Stark/Iron Man - This was pretty self explanatory. Stark witnessed all of the other Avengers lying dead in front of him. The vision makes him feel like it was his fault for not doing enough to protect them, which pretty much leads to the creation of Ultron. Also, when you think about how he says all the people he cares about the most were there, it's nice to see Pepper wasn't there so i'm guessing they've been having troubles for a while now!

Thor - Thor saw Valhalla. Pretty simple. In Norse mythology when a warrior dies, they live on in Valhalla, so Thor seeing everyone he knew there kinda tells you Thor fears the death of all his friends. Heimdall (Thor's buddy who see's everything) told Thor it was his fault they were all there. Now, I can't be the only one that thinks this sounds similar to Stark's? Its interesting that two very different people both fear the same thing.

Steve Rogers/Captain America - Steve's vision was different to most. Where others saw loss of friends, Steve saw Peggy and other people from his time. This suggests many things, but what I think is that it's Steve fears the life he lost. It's weird to think like this, but after everything he went through, it probably would scare him that he was so tortured just to return.

Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow - Romanoff is such a strong person that she probably doesn't fear most, but it isn't surprising that her greatest fear is repeating the red room experience. One thing that was made prominent was the "graduation ceremony" in which she is made infertile. This is clearly what hurt Widow the most, knowing she can't have children or a normal life. The memory was just a reminder.

Bruce Banner - This one is pretty obvious to most people. There is only one thing Banner truly fears and that's himself. It's likely that he would have been shown visions of the damage Hulk has caused because of what that has made him feel before and how it will always make him feel.

Hulk - I put the Hulk separate from Banner because they are two different beings and I don't think the Hulk fears anything. Hulk knows he is the strongest one there is and is always ready to be the first person to attack without a sign of any fear. 

Clint Barton/Hawkeye - Considering he was the only Avenger to not have his mind altered by Wanda, we don't know exactly what he would've feared. Judging the kind of person he is though, I'm guessing he would also fear failure, especially if he failed his family. Clint would've probably seen similar to Stark or Thor and pictured the death of his wife and kids

Vision - Obviously, Vision is a robot. I am aware robots don't have feelings but this one sure does (especially for Wanda). He would probably strive for success as well and fear failure like most of them. Although i'm guessing be made of wires would make this a little different...

Wanda - Finally, I wanted to mention Wanda. I think it would be hard to show Wanda her greatest fear considering she's already experienced everything that could scare her:

• She lost her parents as a child
• She sat for three days waiting to be blown up
• She was inhumanely tortured through experiments 
• Encouraged a murderbot 
• Had to fight literal killing machines
• Her brother died
• Her home city was destroyed, along with other people she knew
• A bomb she was trying to throw away blew up half a building
• She was then imprisoned by her "friend"

That's only after two films!! The chances of her having a great fear anymore is pretty slim!

(BTW I intentionally left out Quicksilver because he kinda died so he doesn't fear anything anymore)
